Bay Area living costs are skewing it. $250 is realistically senior-level. No-experience will not grant you that much.
Nope. I made that much as a not particularly senior engineer in a town in the midwest, as did most of the office I was in.

Sounds very nice. So with 10y exp and MSc I could get more than $250k in non-Bay Area? And with soon a PhD. skyrocketing...?
