@kragen Yeah, I agree that it's a total mess. My CSS special cases 480, 768, 992 for some stuff; 550 & 750 for others. It's crazy.

@kragen Why is 750 not the same as 768? That just makes another case to test. But that's what I get for using some off the shelf thing.

@danluu I would feel better if I could do stuff smoothly. Like, the 7.48-em right margin is a problem on small screens.

@danluu So I could go down to, say, ½em on small screens. But if I do that with a media query, the text column gets narrower and then wider.

@danluu So at some point if you make your window narrower, suddenly more text fits into it. That bothers me, especially right before that.

@danluu OTOH I guess I'm not going to get anywhere by whining about having to touch impure things…

@kragen Well, you could just ignore it. Improving this isn't very high impact, compared to other stuff you could work on.
