@danluu I think it'd be OK to make the whole thing narrow, but I'm not sure how to do that without making it too wide to be usable on iPhone

@kragen I see that my CSS has tons of stuff in there to handle mobile, but to be honest I don't really know how it works.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@kragen Ok, it seems to be using this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8549529/what-is-the-difference-between-screen-and-only-screen-in-media-queries …. Basically has different CSS for smaller screen sizes.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@danluu …which is a reason I've been pretty skeptical about this whole "responsive design" movement. But you're right: what I have is bad!1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@kragen Yeah, I agree that it's a total mess. My CSS special cases 480, 768, 992 for some stuff; 550 & 750 for others. It's crazy.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@danluu So I could go down to, say, ½em on small screens. But if I do that with a media query, the text column gets narrower and then wider.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@danluu So at some point if you make your window narrower, suddenly more text fits into it. That bothers me, especially right before that.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
