We were in the middle of the front page of HN and /r/programming for roughly the same amount of time last week. HN sent 3,801 hits; Reddit sent... 216, according to Google Analytics. Do they somehow block the referer header or something? I don't believe adblock is that prevelant.

About the only reason I have a Reddit account at all is to have the 'use old layout' setting persisted. http://old.reddit.com still works too, but without an account you're liable to be 'upgraded' by following links to http://Reddit.com ...
