We were in the middle of the front page of HN and /r/programming for roughly the same amount of time last week. HN sent 3,801 hits; Reddit sent... 216, according to Google Analytics. Do they somehow block the referer header or something? I don't believe adblock is that prevelant.

I don't read r/prog so I hadn't noticed how the reddit re-design impacted it. 7 out of the top 15 stories have giant cards (5 YT videos, 2 tweets). 100% of the highly upvoted stories have cards.
