@danluu i've reached out to the http://wasdkeyboards.com people to enquire about the latency of their keyboards. the bottomline is they control the firmware and they don't know the numbers, but they said they could donate a device for testing 1/2

according to what you said in https://danluu.com/keyboard-latency/ … i suggested they ship the device to your lab for testing, so hopefully you should receive a 87-key WASD keyboard with brown mechanical switches soon, lucky you :) 2/2 http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/mechanical-keyboard/wasd-87-key-doubleshot-pbt-black-slate-mechanical-keyboard.html …pic.twitter.com/wixiiy1QtH

I don't have my setup assembled anymore and probably won't do testing for a while, but I would be curious to test a mechanical keyboard. I should really update the address in that post, though, that address is no longer up to date... :o

Hello, if you have any advice about assembling a similar setup, I'd like to test a bunch of USB keyboards here in Tokyo.

If you want something very easy to set up but not scalable, what I described in the post works ok-ish. If I were going to do it again, I'd build a fully automated setup so I could get latency distributions (which aren't really reasonable to do with manual measurements).
