I'm not saying the numbers are wrong, but if my site was "moderate", what sites were "fast"? I could see a 1-2 packet site that has a higher CDN hit rate being faster as well as sites that are pushed all the way to the edge, but those seem to be slower because they're heavier.
I think they are measuring 90th percentile "First Contentful Paint" which means (almost) anything drawn to the screen. So "fast" pages are ones which consistently draw *something* faster than 1s, even if other content is still loading. https://www.thinkwithgoogle.com/feature/testmysite/faq/ …
What's a site puts up a faster number than my site?
