I'm using CF. Cache misses see significant latency, but I don't think my hit rate is super low for a non-BigCo website? Fig below has inflated miss rate because I use prefetch and CF won't cache prefetches unless you're on a $$$ plan. Real miss rate maybe 1/3 of that, I think?pic.twitter.com/8TdGKpADrX
Forgive me, because I’ve never engineered outside of Google: we’re talking about cache misses at the CDN here? I.e. you expect hits in something located near me in Sydney? I must have just gotten unlucky then; that’s a pretty great setup.
It’s also possible I missed in some DNS cache and went through a terrible ISP resolver or something. Computers.
