I know you try to keep filesize on your site to an absolute minimum, but how does it serve pages so fast?
Mine has similar sizes but takes ~500ms and I'm really curious how you manage 30ms

Have you tried webpagetest? http://webpagetest.org/result/190820_YD_062d5998f1a9f1773a7bf13012c30841/1/details/#waterfall_view_step1 … vs. http://webpagetest.org/result/190822_95_167ce2fe9a001246cf80277dfcedd1e9/ … I think the biggest differences are HTTP->HTTPS redirect and having to download two CSS files vs. zero.

Redirecting HTTP to HTTPS is arguably the right thing to do, so I wouldn't say you should get rid of that, but it does add a noticeable overhead for really slow connections.
