I once geeked out on checking the citations in the AAP’s report on bed sharing. If I remembee correctly, there were 2-3 that actually supported the claims they were attached to.

Do you think there is a way that as a society we can prevent these kinds of wrong notions from spreading? I sometimes think we need a “here’s what the science actually says” website, that has a staff that converts science into knowledge/advice for everyone.

There are a few Big Questions of Our Time and I believe this is one of them. Which is why I fear that the solution (if any exists) will only be apparent in hindsight.
