When it's easier to put up physical a sign than it is to get Google to stop routing people down the wrong road.pic.twitter.com/m95dmmSPz8

That happened near my parents place, I emailed google and they asked to clarify something so I drove down to find out, emailed the info back and google maps was fixed within days.
That's funny, I tried to get something like this fixed when I worked at Google, using normal channels and not internal connections, (Google Maps suggesting an illegal left turn that would require you to drive over a median *to turn into a Google office*) and it didn't work.
RE: the last image for trucks, I'd always /assumed/ someone was making $bank$ selling a GPS nav tool for trucking. You ABSOLUTELY can't use Goog maps or any other free tool - there's no way black-flag routes based on the height of your load, turning radius, etc.
if truckers are actually trying to use google maps or something similar, my mind is blown. also i should start a company
@googlemaps routinely routes me over Roxbury Mountain Road when I drive to go skiing at @Sugarbush_VT ... It's a quite steep dirt road that, while it does get plowed in the winter, is completely inappropriate for non-4x4 vehicles.
There are signs on the road that warn you but by the time you see them your choices are to risk a 15-minute drive over a dirt road mountain pass or go over an hour out of your way to go around it. It's only an extra ~5 min if you go the correct way from the start.
Had Google Maps try to direct us somewhere ("Scotiabank Arena Toronto") by stopping at the closest place on the highway and then walking.
my experience has been that tomtom is actually much more accurate for navigation compared to google maps
My experience has been that Apple Maps (TomTom = primary provider) is far more reliable than Google Maps I've had Apple direct me right to a place, while Google sent others blocks away. In one area, Apple was missing a street, but Google had a whole section that wasn't built yet
