Have the same issue with people trying to get to my house via Google Maps. Google insists on a route that goes down a dirt ‘road’ full of dips and illegal garbage dumping and not the perfectly normal road that it thinks is 30 seconds slower. No amount of reporting has fixed it.
In the interests of fairness Apple Maps did the same, BUT I reported a correction and they had it fixed within 3 days. Myself and others have been reporting Googles error for months with zero results.
Or, someone is trolling / doesnt want people to drive by their place/home and wants them to take an alternate route?
no, they're almost certainly not lying/trolling. there are multiple single-lane, dead-end roads in the santa cruz mountains with signs like "TURN AROUND, NO WINERY ACCESS, YOUR GPS IS WRONG" at the bottom.
More likely a bunch of ppl with in-car GPS, or Tom Tom type devices that won’t pay $300 for the maps update, and will use it for 15+ years.
Probably shouldn't cost anything to update maps.
There's a spot around here where they put up a illuminated programmable sign on hot days that says "WAZE IS WRONG, NO ROUTE TO BEACH" the future sucks
Clever “they. I’m sure they just want to keep the beach to themselves.
My house was built in the 60s and @Google still can’t get people to our address.
Google thinks some of my family live in the middle of a lake.
