I'm one of four people I know of who fails interviews at a high enough rate that I could fail 20 in a row (and I believe I have). AFAICT, the only trait the four of us have in common is extreme nervousness in interviews.https://twitter.com/patio11/status/1058019605413748737 …

Based on the rate that I read books when I read a lot (from a young age into my late 20s), I must've read somewhere between 5k and 10k books in my life and I couldn't name a single book off the top of my head (I was able to think of one after maybe 2 minutes)

Do you think this is the nerves, or a separate fact about how you organize/recall information? I don't get nervous, but "name your favorite book" would give me trouble. Similarly, I recently was complaining to people about questions like "tell me about a time you failed"...

...not because I think I always do well, but just don't organize my experience into failure stories like that. Finally thought of a story, which I wrote down, and plan to study when I next do interviews. Will do the same for other behavioral interview questions I can think of.
