they're not all negative, and not all positive. much of what was destroyed was not worth preserving. much what was destroyed should not have been smashed so hastily.

freedom from societal symbols means we are all free to invent our own symbols according to our own will, which, yeah, boils down to some good some bad, nm i agree with your assessment

we still have to come to terms with one another. the old symbols we used to do so are dead. gonna be a lot of haphazard, high-friction experimentation until we have a new workable arrangement. hopefully we settle on something before it becomes violent.
