kegan stage 5 is self-unraveling. the stages are themselves a system. once you move past systematic thinking the entire edifice loses value except as a kind of shadow or echo of other possible divisions of the world.

Yes, nicely put! I would say it takes relative value as a system, maybe still useful to some, less to others…depending on preference/importance in personal history. Is that how you see it? This mirrors claims of various Enlightenment systems too, was that intentional?

My view is that relative value (meaning contextual appropriateness and ease of use) is still incredibly important. I wasn't thinking explicitly about any Enlightenment systems when I wrote this but considering what else I've been reading I'm sure it was in my unconscious mind.
