I wonder if you could predict things about people (say a basic political spectrum-like thing) from their aesthetic preferences, tested by, e.g. showing them different pieces of procedurally computer-generated art

Right, so a preference for certain types of architecture could correlate with stronger openness to experience, for example, which would be another interesting thing.

But I'd prefer generative art (a la https://www.kovach.me/art.html ) rather than stuff with real-world history behind it, because the latter could have associations that people respond to directly.
