I think that regardless of what other strategies you follow, accepting you don't need to "catch up" is critical. I'm trying to see my feed as this stream of information I dip into for some period of time, then leave alone.

Exactly. In life you have to come to terms with the fact that you'll never experience all there is to be experienced. Or you'll constantly be anxious.

indeed, gotta drop the FOMO and just be content to dip your ladle in the river when the mood strikes... i kind of think of twitter as the place to go when i want to get a taste of the current state/movements of the collective human consciousness, or at least a sizable segment

In a way I fight FOMO on the world with FOMO on my own mind, which is honestly quite an interesting place when I pay attention and give it space to play – not as interesting as the MOST interesting things online, but more interesting than the average thing for sure

what does FOMO in your own mind look like?

Just think of your own mind as a newsfeed that disappears once you come in contact with any other newsfeed (twitter, fb, etc). Curiosities, idle musings, random connections and syntheses between existing thoughts, ideas, perspectives
