whew. this guy. thinks he's presenting all the reasons techsector mentalities are bad, but mostly he's just presenting what's wrong with western culture. proudly apathetic and complacent, anti-intellectual, strong disdain for those with any work ethic

he seems to have latched onto the trend of some companies to over-value hobbyist work. I think that's semi-mythological also and is something represented far more in media articles about tech jobs than anything I've seen in the workplace though, but n=1 anecdata so who knows.

if any of those questions about hobby work are framed instead as being about past professional work they are actually good and appropriate questions for interviews.
