No, it just hurt like hell and still does when the weather is about to change. Driving iron into something is meant to keep that something in one's possession.

I have a scar in my left arm where a break was repaired with orthopedic surgery and a few stainless steel bone screws (long since removed). Also occasionally aches when the weather is about to change. Very very weird sensation. No good explanation.

was I misinterpreting your nail story though? "driven in" like intentionally? I was assuming you just stepped on it by accident.

You simply would not believe how mind-bogglingly weird my family, and subsequently my entire life is.

It was a very gnarly looking beast. Red clay, rust, and iron. Not an experience I'd recommend.
