Any protest which doesn't involve drowning out the speaker's voice & preventing those who have come to listen from hearing her is just fine. I really like this distinction. Do we have a word to describe that thing that’s like a protest, but where the goal is to prevent other people from speaking rather than to (boisterously and emphatically, even) speak yourself?
