right, the entire idea is to throw out the implausible boundary where the "magic" happens. no boundary, a full continuum of consciousness where every system that has agency (even primitive nematode or hard drive notions of agency) is in some sense conscious.

under this rubric, human consciousness is interesting only in its degree. lots of other vertebrates seem to have a very comparable degree of consciousness as humans. can easily imagine things with greater degree than humans as well.
