do we think elon is the synthesis of them? he’s playing to the press but from a posture of strength, not mewling submission

the other day someone described it as zuck is the lawful evil and musk is the chaotic good of potential Martian overlords

people who have anti-elon instincts freak me out. they can never say why either, whereas i can point out a million little psychological tells that underpin why elon gives me good feels

i don't mean the anticapitalist set which naturally dislikes him i mean people who watch him in videos and are like yeah he's lying i don't trust him etc he may turn out to be some amount of insane but he's def not lying that's plain to anyone who can read faces

anyway i guess what i'm getting at is it's genuinely unnerving that some people are so bad at making microexpression-based trust judgements. we evolved that ability so they're just broken i guess

Elon consistently says things that most people would speak of as either fiction, or hyperbolic examples meant for rhetorical effect, except in Elon's case he is speaking literally and seriously, which causes the dissonance in people who can't conceive of that.

I think also a lot of people just haven't watched video of him. I'm pretty sure the only Elon video I've watched is him wielding a flamethrower

he used to speak more openly about the simulation hypothesis, and has deliberately stopped talking about because it was 99% misunderstood every time he did. I'm disappointed.
