which tribe?
alright then look, if you're trying to convince me that the system you're proposing is a good one it really loses a lot of credibility when you argue yourself into the corner of "lynch mobs are ok:.

I never said they were okay, only that they were a natural result of democracy and that we need to be more accepting of the realities of mob psychology if we are going to be free.
-
You have been continually misrepresenting by claims all night. I'm not really sure I consider you somebody who deserves convincing anymore.
-
alright, sorry. I understand that it's hard to express your beliefs and maybe I was too critical. I think we fundamentally agree on the importance of reducing authoritarianism, and that the incarceration system is mostly awful. I think we disagree about how policing should work
-
You are advocating abolishing specialized, professional police in favor of charismatic "law chief" figures. I think there are serious problems with that. I hope I haven't misrepresented you further.
-
I believe that addressing issues of corruption in a specialized professional police force is an easier problem to solve than addressing issues of mob violence and vigilantism in citizens-with-guns amateur policing.
-
if I was harsh I apologize, but I felt a need to strongly question your premises because I think you intermixed a good sentiment with a dangerous policy prescription.
