I mean, it's probably better to just not participate in "fandom" and enjoy good stuff on your own. My only regret is that the previously decent Nebula nominees anthologies now aren't.

As far as I can tell, there's no good stuff any more. Iain Banks was the last author I enjoyed, and he's dead.

agree, though I found the psychological components of the novel to be the more rewarding parts. maybe I just spend too much time negotiating with my own ghosts so it felt familiar.
