I asked my parents to buy my a boombox with a CD player for my birthday that year. It was a big deal to me. I know we all have these little nostalgia moments. Things that fix as meaningful in your life story. Little moments of character development.

I never really grew out of it. I like the album more now then I did when I was 13, though I listen to it much less, mostly because I now have access to millions of songs on demand so going wide rather than deep is my mode at the moment.
