but I think his analysis gets a lot of things right. he was just waiting for the eschaton instead of trying to make due with the real.

that I agree with, but it's a very different from the "culture is not your friend" statement and the sermon that goes along with it

his culture is not your friend rant is more of a "ra ra!" type thing instead of something to think deeply about IMHO

evidence of subcultures turned rancid are all around us today. this is the zeitgeist of 2017. bad cultural hygiene practices.

unfortunately charged word "hygiene". not meaning that we should fixate on pure/impure axis. that's a kind of mania.
