to expand on that even more, she was ridiculously tunnel visioned on the typical leftist identitarian perspective and seemed to make no effort at all to understand why Harris (and many others) evaluate the same events differently.

Perhaps. But I think it is also the case that IDW types vastly under value the role of power relationships based on these categories. It's like they want to argue from a blank slate and first principles, without much regard for historical context or structural explanations

who does? Harris? sometimes, though he is not "blank slatist" in the cognitive developmental sense of the term. He does usually take the individualist perspective on issues though.

Yes, Sam Harris is who I mostly have in mind. His debate with Ezra Klein was emblematic of this for me.

Ezra Klein is literally a professional propagandist. Harris' main mistake was talking to him at all. Dude is a bad actor.

This is just completely untrue. Have you listened to his podcast? Most of it is inquisitive and a good faith investigation into complex issues. But he also has a point of view, which might be what you are reacting against. But everybody has a point of view.

Yes, I have read a lot on Vox. Some of it goes overboard with the SJW stuff. But much of it is good quality investigation into issues.

and how do you know? have you checked this stuff independently? it's his job to make credible-seeming lies. he's quite good at it.
