so presumably there's some amount of mass displacement that occurs whenever you conjure a garlic bread. what if you could vector that force and use it as a thrust source? is this how Cannonball's powers work?http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Cannonball

firstly, in order to conjure garlic bread, you would have to take that mass from something else in the universe in order to form it. so, you can have a universe of stuff and things OR a universe of garlic bread.

yes yes! a parallel garlic bread dimension. the power is just opening a portal, really.

yehbbit, you see, even if there *was* a way to open a portal, it's ALL garlic bread. there's no room for anything else.

this requires further study. Reed Richards will be interested.

you would have to find some way to not only open the garlic bread dimension but also find a way to displace enough garlic bread to make space for anything else, but there's a problem even with that, because the garlic bread is infinite. subtraction from infinity?

assume that the garlic bread in the garlic bread dimension is truly infinite and uniformly distributed throughout all points in the dimension such that it is effectively infinitely generated to fill all available space as space becomes available.

if it was otherwise it wouldn't be infinite, just a cosmically large chunk of garlic bread, which while impressive is not what we specified.

so opening a portal to the garlic bread dimension should immediately cause a cascade of bread to come through, attempting to fill our dimension with garlic bread. this power would have to be used judiciously, as keeping the portal open for more than a moment could be catastrophic

another problem. this would happen so quickly that the garlic bread would burn.

you say problem I say solution, that turns our bread cascade into a powerful energy weapon or rocket thrust vector.
