When I say "surprisingly hard" I don't mean to speak about a majority prevalence, just that it strikes me as Too High. Once, on a ride home, I did not witness abuse, but rather was witness to someone ranting about how children needed to be hit more, because we're going "soft."
see what I mean? you could be talking about orbital arcologies but you're just fuckin around with terrestrial vertical farms. up your game, homey.

I think we haven't achieved efficient vertical and/or hydroponics farming for many non-lettuce/herb products so since I want to eat things other than salad I am in favor of Let's Wait A Bit. We HAVE achieved automated soil-based barley farming, though.

thinking about it, "a small outlay of land for barley, vertical farms for lettuce, and weird vats for meat" makes more of a reasonable diet for the cyberpunk urban class than any dared to hope. hello future, you can still get drunk on real beer and eat a mostly-real salad.

this sounds terrible we should just ferment dead humans or something
