The Tower of Babel is a story of the perils of Centralization and the Limits of Scale.
the argument against over-optimization is that it can induce fragility. the myth isn't about a fragile tower though. it's about a tower so sturdy it reached Heaven. it didn't collapse due to fragility. it was struck down by corrupt authority reacting against a challenger.

What brings you to the conclusion that it was a "Corrupt Authority"? The Biblical narrative is that G-d is Sovereign.

I was using it to be consistent w/ the idea that G-d is Sovereign. I.e. OT Jews would not write the name.
