my friends and i took that in the spring, we made this site: http://lamppost.info/welcome . it showed me how goddamn much i don't know about building things, which was a wake-up. the department is kinda theory-heavy, not many classes like that :(

almost all university CS departments are heavy on theory, light on practice. It's a problem in general with this stuff and the INTENSE learning curve most people experience in their first 6 months at a
$dayjob can come as a shock to a lot of people.
