It seems like they know all about them.

why don't _other people on the left_ know what to do when you're confronted with a person with this type of personality disorder? I'm pretty sure the standard response is not "subscribe to their newsletter and stan for them on twitter". wtf is wrong with them?
-
Because character disordered people exploit more or less hardwired sympathy responses and similar, such that even knowing all the tricks will do normies little good.

does my neuro-atypicality protect me from this sort of thing? that sounds good and makes me feel better about myself so I choose to believe it is true.

Probably. Also, it is very easy to mistake a personality disordered person trying to trick you from a peer in need if you and the PD share sufficient beliefs. You might be not crazy-left enough to be effectively parasitized by a crazy left master ruseman with issues

I've moderated as I've aged. 10 years ago I was much further to the left. The cliche is true in my case I guess. Even so, 10 years ago I had no trouble detecting and avoiding this kind of thing. Just seems ridiculously obvious to me.

Sister?
