today's outrage mob is no better or more justified than yesterday's outrage mob or the day before or the day before. it doesn't matter that someone did something outrageous. you're all being played, me included.

You're failing to define "outrageous." There's a world of difference between, say, tweeting a questionable joke about women drivers, or posting the N-word about "secret muslim Obama." By lumping all "outrageous" behavior under one blanket, you're marginalizing legitimate anger.
