Statistically, political terrorism within the United States has historically been driven primarily by the far left. Examples from the right are sporadic, with McVeigh and Kaczynski being some of the only particularly interesting cases. police action is inherently political (it's right in the name, honestly). maybe some incidents of brutality are just officers losing their temper and acting without any particular purpose, but how about police departments with long histories of it (Chicago, LA, NYC)?

or what about police in some parts of the south where the officers were often moonlighting with white hoods?

I don't know which ghost is commenting invisibly on this reply, but I think Twitter should have the ability to allow comments only by accounts visible to the account to which they are replying. If you have something to say in response to me, say it to me, not past me.

I assume this is some mutual friend of yours and perhaps of other people in this discussion? Talking behind someone's back is rude.

I see a count of 3. When I click it, I see the text for 2. One is not visible to me at all; I see no indication of its existence. So I am not blocked, to the best of my knowledge; it seems it must be a protected account. Who is it? I cannot even see a name.

... bizarre. I can't see *yours*, then; I see both of mine. I think there is a bug. Normally this behavior indicates the existence of a protected account leaving a comment. I feel a bit silly now, but I don't think I was unreasonable to conclude that from the evidence.

It's being hidden by the UI. I can only see it in my mentions, and not in the thread itself. Weird.
