got a link? my thoughts on Chapo are that they're just 30 something lefty versions of Rush Limbaugh. like Rush, they have been pushed by their audience towards ever more fringe extreme positions. they're competing for the fringes now.

yeah, there's some asymmetry. extreme right politics in America is much more in the ultra-libertarian strain than in the corporatist merger of state and business (Mussolinism) strain. actually the mainstream Democrats and Republicans are basically corporatist quasi-fascists.

the word fascist is overloaded with historical baggage of course so we probably shouldn't use it except for the historical use case. I'm not entirely sure what to call mainstream American corporatists, but it's clear where they stand in terms of policy and alignment.
