so "true communism has never been tried" is almost a correct statement. I say almost because I sincerely think that systems of this kind are not possible to implement while also preserving competence hierarchies. Inequality is emergent from competence hierarchies.

I'm amazed that 2018 leftists are just going right back to Leninism (or worse) though. One would hope they would try to learn from the history and start advocating entirely different remedies to inequality that were able to preserve competence hierarchies.
