I will gladly return the favor. When I die, any animals (including other humans) are free to eat my corpse.

I suspect that you're familiar with this? https://approachingaro.org/no-holiness-vastness … Nothing is holy, and to experience vastness, it's helpful to break taboos, dietary or otherwise. Veganism promotes a dualistic mindset that separates the sacred from the profane.

I'm actually curious how you went ex-Vajrayana... but somehow I feel like I'm not ready to know this yet...

I've had problems with the superstitious elements of Vaj from the start. Then came the sex scandals. And the responses to them. In addition, I have seen little change in long-term practitioners.

introducing "magical"/mythicist elements into any practice has an enormous implicit hazard and I've seen these problems turn up in many communities. in short, there seems to be a subset of people who are more-or-less incapable of anything besides literalism.

from observation: common in many Catholic congregations (Saint worship, etc.), as well as certain styles of protestantism ("prayer" magic, faith healing, etc.), and of course certain Buddhist sects from experience: quite a lot of Western esoteric practicioners are stuck there
