Yo, @jordanbpeterson, the right has not solved its "unreasonable member" problem any better than the left has, unless you compare apples to oranges.
The racist right is analogous to antifa.
The social justice left is analogous to the fox news right or the religious right.

I agree. And most moderate leftists denounce Antifa. So "deal one" is done, and "deal two" is where the real action is at. But Peterson offered "deal three": mod-left disclaims Social Justice, and mod-right disclaims racists. Deal three is apples and oranges.
-
I disagree. Most modern leftists may disavow the violent Black Bloc Antifa activists but they maintain social justice solidarity w/the radical anarchists/communists which are the core of Antifa.
-
My intention is not to defend an exact mapping, but to suggest that Peterson is comparing apples and oranges, and that the moderate right still has a Fox News and religious-right fundamentalism problem. He is prematurely declaring "mission accomplished" for the mod-right.
-
Not sure what Fox News problem you’re talking about other than a) Hannity and b) typical strawmanning on cable news *opinion* shows. The Christian right isn’t influencing policy w/same fervor as radical DIE left. So maybe there’s no need to declare war let alone victory?
-
Fox News is extremely biased. They weak man the left all the time. They engage in conspiracy thinking. And they dismiss science and sound economic theory without dealing with the actual scientific or economic arguments. It's a problem. Same with the religious right.
-
I guess i only watch Chris Wallace, Bret Bahr and Neil Cavuto w/any seriousness. Tucker and The Five are entertaining - sometimes annoying. Hannity is unwatchable.
-
It’s the similar for me w/CNN & MSNBC. There are few that are honest & reasonable - more ad hominem and straw-manning the right.
-
Yes. I won't deny that the Left has housecleaning to do, as Peterson suggests. I'm just objecting to the suggestion that the mod-right has done their part merely by denouncing racists.
