it's an interesting example. I'm not sure how to characterize this one since it's not just a compression artifact but an actual optical "attack" of a kind. I feel like ideas undergoing lossy compression might be vulnerable to this too through conflation or mischaracterization.

@simpolism's preference to talk about fidelity is absolutely addressing that issue. my original discussion with@everytstudies about resolution was more about ability do compress and decompress ideas in non-adversarial conditions.
