because it's always important to me to put D&D stats on a firm theoretic basis, i think i've worked out how Wisdom relates to Intelligence: WIS is meta-INT. INT works out the involved thought process; WIS thinks to ask "is this involved thought process maybe self-serving?"

I wish I could remember where I saw it, but there was at least one D&D rulebook (or maybe another game system with very similar stats?) that broke down the main 6 stats into sub-stats. Wisdom's sub-stats were intuition, perception, and willpower
