I have gotten to know Tulsi over the past months. I'm fully aware of her past from a decade ago on LGBTQ+ issues. I'm aware of statements that were made regarding torture. I'm aware of her religious beliefs. Have you never said or done something hurtful that you regret?

Of course I have. And if I was running for President, I should expect to be raked over the coals and have to answer for them. Just like she does.

And these things that she's being "raked over the coals" for are things that she has answered for and worked hard; both personally and legislatively, to atone for.

I’m not looking for perfection, but she ain’t it. Not even close. I don’t trust her and she has a long way to go to earn that. That’s not just me. That a lot of ppl. No thanks. It’s

If you're team Bernie, I applaud you. Happy to hear that you support a progressive candidate. Bernie wouldn't be engaging in this type of smearing because he too knows Tulsi personally.

It’s not smearing. It’s called vetting. I vetted Bernie the same way. I have a right to ask questions and it’s up to the candidate to answer. She’s made some huge and terrible mistakes. It’s reasonable to be suspicious and want her to answer for them.

I have vetted as well. And I've come to different conclusions. There are people out there who haven't vetted candidates like Liz, Pete, Yang, etc who are much less likely to win progressives much of anything. 1/2

None of those people are progressives so I don’t care about them.

Exactly. None of them are progressives. We should be talking to their supporters and convincing them to join the progressive movement. There is overwhelming overlap between Tulsi and Bernie supporters. It just feels like we're wasting time arguing amongst ourselves.

That’s what the establishment wants... If we are divided, we cannot come together over the message, and we cannot speak the message over the fighting and shouting...

The Democratic political establishment infiltrates the progressive movement on Twitter, with either real centrists, paid trolls or sock puppet. And in real life these elitist people & candidates, now all call themselves “progressives” A lot of the division is actually not real.
