@danielpunkass Um, Snippets are built into FogBUGZ.
I could really use a @textexpander compatible iOS FogBugz client. (Or web browser!) I rely on snippets to handle customer support on my Mac.

@dnanian Anyway for various reasons I have invested in TextExpander over the years: can use in any app, fancy things like fill-ins, etc. - View other replies

@danielpunkass You don’t understand - I’m not dissing@TextExpander at all: great program. Just that you can get your work done w/o it here. -
@dnanian@TextExpander Yeah - I need to come up with some way to transfer all the TE snippets into FogBugz, with variant shortcuts.

@danielpunkass Have you tried my Mac FogBugz client, Bee? http://neat.io/bee Don’t have textexpander support but I could look into it. -
@basilshkara I haven't tried it. But to clarify I am looking for a solution on iOS. On Mac you can use TextExpander more or less anywhere. -
@danielpunkass Oh right. Yeah I’m not really a TextExpander user. Hope you try it anyway, I do all my FogBugz support via Bee. - View other replies

@basilshkara (the keyboard shortcuts throughout FogBugz's web UI). That's kept me off native clients in the past.

@danielpunkass the mobile site actually plays nicely with their built-in snippets. -
@_Barajas Yeah, but I don't use their built-in snippets :) I like TE's advanced features and that I can use them in any (well, on Mac) app. -
@danielpunkass sounds like it’s time to build a TE/FB snippet sync service. -
@_Barajas Yeah, that would be good. Also syncing to Apple's built in text substitutions system would be nice!

-
@danielpunkass can you use the built-in support for snippets in FogBugz? -
@twenty3 To a large extent but it would require some mass export/import ... And TE is more featured e.g. with fill-ins. -
@danielpunkass ah gotcha. Sounds like you’ve grown quite a system using TE then! -
@twenty3 Yep. Not as extensive as I would like but pretty invested!

@danielpunkass iOS has native text replacement under Keyboard settings -
@yaykyle It's worth considering in a pinch but missing many features of TextExpander. -
@danielpunkass no doubt. Should have guessed you knew about it. -
@yaykyle You never know what people may have overlooked! -
@danielpunkass true dat
