    Oh I see, the reason I have absolutely no problem with Mail on Mavericks must stem from my refusal to use gmail. FTW. http://tidbits.com/article/14219

        @danielpunkass If gmail is your thing, I’ve always felt the web or MailPlane are the way to go.

        @MacSparky Agreed. @danielpunkass what company hosts your email? I tried Fastmail and liked it but still prefer Gmail (never used Mail.app).

        @tjluoma @MacSparky I use DreamHost for better and worse. They are better at mail hosting in my experience than at web hosting.

        @danielpunkass But that was probably 2005-2006, so things obviously may have changed.

        @tjluoma I will probably move to Rackspace at some point for consistency with my web hosting.

        @danielpunkass Unfortunately, the problems extend beyond Gmail.

        @danielpunkass yay me! :) I like “Archive” now goes to “All Mail”. I have All Mail in Mail, as I actually delete msgs I don’t need to keep

        @danielpunkass Out of curiosity, do you use an IMAP-based mail server other than Gmail? Or do you do everything with POP3?

      2. Daniel Jalkut ‏@danielpunkass 24 Oct 2013

        @minimalblogger Everything IMAP.

        @danielpunkass do you run your own mail server or use a different third-party service?

      2. Daniel Jalkut ‏@danielpunkass 24 Oct 2013

        @dchest I use a different third party service. DreamHost, but likely to move to RackSpace at some point.

        @danielpunkass which email provider do you use instead? Or do you run your own email server?

        @martinpickett Yeah I sort of run my own … in that DreamHost runs it.
