Considering the only way somebody not currently playing in a DPC division can make TI is by joining a Division 1 team for the 2nd DPC League, and the number of high profile free agents, I expect we're going to get a pretty significantly shuffle after the major.

How do you like this format though, tbf I really liked it when teams could just play OQ/CQ and get to TI. Although I know it is very unlikely, it is possible for a team to he caught up in uni and not play the whole year and won't make it even if they're the best.

I think it feels somewhat fairer, I don't mind it. Previously a team could fluke an open qualifier and get to TI without having any results to back that up.

I doubt we're going to see that much of a shuffle. I can see 23savage getting picked up by a SEA team that just fails to make it to the Major (or performs badly at the Major) but I can't see any Major contending teams in EU or CIS making many moves. And NA is NA...

No, players will still have a chance even if they start out in the OQs for S2 1. Finish Top 2 in S2 OQs and make it to the Lower Division. 2. Finish Top 2 in S2 Lower Division, Get promoted to Upper Division 3. Make it to TI through Last Chance Qualifiers -Top 8 in UD compete

Obviously, this is only true if Valve's "8 best teams from each region" refers to the 8 teams in the Upper Division after Season 2's promotion/relegation ends. But I think this is likely https://blog.dota2.com/2020/02/introducing-regional-leagues/ …

Had this thought myself when I saw the season structure. The first major cycle is as much a mass audition as anything else.
