Nice read! Reminds me of Dale Carnegie's arguments in his book 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' (the title is weird but the points he makes are interesting)

It's tough pitching VCs when I find their motivations hard to sympathize with (pure returns vs. enthusiasm for the future), any tips? Been filtering them out, not sure if that's sustainable.

Great piece. Always found it super hard to convince anyone of anything if you just jump straight to a conclusion. Far easier to show people the working 'I learned A and B from C, and therefore built X, Y and Z' is a far more convincing argument.

Always reminds me of Steve Jobs sharing first principal steps before painting his vision/thesis. Invites dissent on how you have arrived at anything, while simultaneously sharpening your arguments if nobody can find flaws in your reasoning

If you're building a Crypto app don't jump straight into what you are building. Paint a picture of the history of money, provide extensive understanding of the economic technology of economics of trade, then share your vision of where the world will evolve
