Humans have spent a lot of brain cycles thinking about the afterlife. Why don't we talk nearly as much about the pre-life, what happens before we are born?

My guess is that we just don't care as much about our past selves, and religion/culture can't use it as a stick to ensure good behavior. But it's just as long of an infinity
