An interesting Bezos-ism I heard lately is that we should manage by inputs, not outputs. How people take the easy path to improve an output when it’s the focus, but figuring out the right inputs leads to higher quality thinking and more “100x” outcomes

Depends what you’re looking to get out of the org. Output affords consistency and reliability at the cost of local maxima.
