I think what people are responding to is that black voters OVERWHELMINGLY supported Jones while a large majority of white voters supported Moore. There’s a lot to pick apart about this whole narrative, but it’s pretty easy to see where it’s coming from.

1) Yes, I think it was shocking for a lot of us to see how black voters were overwhelmingly pro-Jones while a majority of white voters went for Moore. This particular line was drawn by the votes themselves — black voters showed up for what benefits the human race.

2) I don’t think there’s necessarily any harm in recognizing that black people represented what’s good in the world yesterday, as long as we also recognize why that’s remarkable — because white people did not do the same.
