Brinkmanship only works if there is a credible threat. Saying it's onky brinkmanship is saying it's onky a loaded gun, it has not fired.

If NK lauches a first strike, the US will turn the it into a wasteland and I don't see China having any good reason to aide NK-Regime.

China has more reasons to stay out of such a conflict than throwing their weight behind a madman and risk political and economical ruin.
