Any politicians who try to get themselves or their families high priority on vaccination should be exposed and ridiculed. Fair warning.

In normal circumstances I would disagree with your post, because surely the people running the country, making decisions, should be on the high priority list. However, politicians typically are so hypocritical, corrupt, and acting without integrity that it invalidates my point.

Is this entirely fair when government ministers around the world particularly health ministers and prime ministers have contractid the disease often largely through doing their job fighting the pandemic?

No point. They'll weather the storm for the 5 minutes of attention span that people have for things like that. Then they'd return to using their position to continue eliciting preferential treatment instead of acting as public servants.

I think you're wrong. Politicians can be overexposed and they are (or should be) essential workers by all means.

I'm not taking that crap for a long time, if ever. This was rushed and I've heard there are a lot of side effects that can make you sick.

Moreover in anti-vax times leaders should lead by example by willing to take the vaccine in early stage. Otherwise I bet you what you want we will have tons of conspiracies on "why politicians don't want the vaccine.."

I agree - but for some reason there are a LOT of people who are refusing it until they see the politicians take it first. The fear of the vaccines is irrational of course - but if a bunch of politicians are seen getting it, it might substantially increase compliance.

I must question, Dr. Dennett, whether it may be beneficial for public figures to be vaccinated to demonstrate against the pro-disease/bioterrorist/anti-vaxxer (whatever you call them) factions. To show vaccines are safe, effective, and the morally superior route. No?

Should the idiots who refuse to wear masks be given higher priority here? They do not deserve it, but it will have a large impact on cutting the spread.
